Using embodied intelligence, The Womanism Way™ is Mx. Lena Queen's justice-centered methodology for erotic healing and embodied liberation — the living praxis at the heart of Erospirituality. Erospirituality is a decolonial, integrative approach to comprehensive sexuality education and somatic sexology: grounded in evidence-based sexological research and the science of neuroplasticity, carried in the body through somatic practice, and held within ancestral and spiritual traditions we honor as sacred.

The Erospirituality Centre was created as a braver space centering queer and trans Black, Indigenous, and POC therapists, counselors, educators, somatic coaches, intimacy professionals, spiritual entrepreneurs, and allied practitioners — those ready for their own healing to be resourced, so their work and their lives aren't built on burnout, exhaustion, and self-neglect.

Reclaiming sexuality, the intuitive mind-body relationship, and spirituality through erotic intelligence and integrative somatic healing, we decolonize somatics with trauma-informed practices rooted in the ancestral wisdom of the Global Majority — Black, Caribbean, African, Indigenous Turtle Islanders, Latine, East Asian, South Asian, and Pacific cultures.

Erospirituality is the decolonial, sacred relationship between sexuality and spirit — grounded in neuroscience, carried through somatic and energy practice, and honored within the ancestral medicine of energy work and embodied intelligence. In practice, it's the embodied art of erotic intelligence and the reclamation of erotic sovereignty.

The Erospirituality Centre (EC) offers trauma-informed, integrative somatic sexuality education — courses, masterclasses, and decolonial Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR) intensives featuring somatic practices of erotic presence, breathwork, restorative movement, and energy work. Most of EC's offerings meet the requirements for AASECT continuing education credits.

Through Erospirituality, we reclaim our thoughts, our nervous system, and our intuitive mind-body relationship — shaping our capacity for pleasure, touch, intimacy, and liberation, and learning to live that understanding as a path to embodied freedom.

The term erospirituality was first introduced by Randolph J. Bowers in 1996 (Erospirituality: Sex, Ecology, Evolution — The Ontopoetics of Soul). Mx. Lena Queen, LCSW, M.Ed., takes up that thread and extends it into a decolonial, trauma-informed, pleasure-affirming daily practice — grounded in Audre Lorde, bell hooks, Malidoma Somé, and the sexological research of Dr. Tracie Q. Gilbert.

The Womanism Way™ is the justice-centered methodology within Erospirituality™ — a decolonial embodied-healing praxis shaped by radical self-compassion, radical self-permission, and radical responsibility to heal and re-center the Self. Where a "method" implies a clinical product, a Way names a lived path — one rooted in womanism, the Black feminist tradition that centers the wholeness, spirit, and erotic life of Black women. Students meet The Womanism Way™ through EC's offerings, including Queen's signature intensive, Healing the Erotic Self™, and its self-study course, Erotic Living.

This collective liberation work began in 2017, as a desire to create sacred space for the sexual healing of queer and non-queer Black women and Black non-binary professionals — Womanism Sacred Circle, a one-day retreat rooted in queer womanism, which later widened to welcome QTBIPOC across the Global Majority who are erotically marginalized. Drawing on the erotic as Audre Lorde named it — alongside ancestral wisdom and contemporary erotic-intelligence research — this work centers our sexual, spiritual, and somatic well-being as one WHOLE-Self path to liberation.

My relationship to healing has always been BOTH/AND.

Joking aside: in a world this chaotic, we need deliberate ways of healing that honor every stage of becoming — crisis, surviving, and thriving.

Rooted in the safety of Black queer erotic healing, the Erospirituality Centre reclaims erotic wholeness as the embodied capacity for pleasure — a birthright — by making space for an intuitive relationship with mind, body, energy, and spirit. This is how the erotic returns us to our desire, our joy, our intimacy, and our radical self-acceptance.

Erotic Liberation is a radical, embodied state of being in which your erotic energy — sexual, spiritual, somatic, and intuitive — is reclaimed as a sacred source of truth, power, and care. It is the pulse of your joy, the root of your creativity, and the mirror of your inherent worth. For those healing from trauma, marginalization, and disconnection from body, culture, and spirit, Erotic Liberation is not indulgence — it is essential. It is a return to WHOLENESS.
