It’s also Erotic Embodiment Month. As declared by somatic sexologist, intimacy doula, erotic activist, and founder of The Amina Institute of Embodiment and Healing, Amina Peterson- “August [is] a month of pleasure, connection, & awareness [joy].” And declared August as Erotic Embodiment Month. 

And now:

 August is Embodied Liberation Month

After 23 years as a clinical social worker, an integrative somatic psychotherapist, and 10 years as a sexuality professional with almost 52 years living as an erotic being, a sacred sanctuary has been created in which we do not have to choose which parts of us can safely show up. Allow me to introduce you to a sacred space for embodied liberation, Erospirituality Centre (EC).

The Erospirituality Centre is a non-profit continuing education institute focused on erotic intelligence, integrative somatic healing, decolonial spirituality, & trauma-informed healing practices.

Erospirituality is using Eros as the Divine GPS of our intuitive relationship to Spirit/spirit- our spiritual energy. This allows the challenging, decentering, intentionally disrupting, deconstructing, unpacking, and unlearning colonially-informed societal expectations and assumptions about sexuality and spirituality.

This is the practice of decolonization. 

When you are experiencing:

(1) perpetual exhaustion,

(2) increased negative feelings like doubt, guilt, and shame, or

(3) become emotionally unavailable in your relationships, in addition to

(4)  increasingly unhappy with your quality of life,

you are experiencing burnout.

We can’t solve burnout prevention in a system designed for our perpetual exhaustion without our integrative capacity for ourselves, each other, our relationships, communal care, desire, and pleasure. We need to empower our embodied intelligence.

Informed by  23 years of experience in personal healing, professional learning and development, public speaking, training facilitation, and writing, Erospirituality Centre, a non-profit, offers trauma-informed, pleasure-affirming, and healing-centered intensives that include:

(1) Healing the Erotic Self Workbook & Self-Paced Erotic Care Plans, 

(2) Sexuality & Somatics Professional Development Learning Intensive;

Facilitated by moi- Mx. Lena Queen, LCSW, M.Ed. (DE & NJ). I am a Clinical Somatic Sexologist, Erotic IQ Coach, American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) CE Provider, Authentic Consent Facilitator, Hypnotherapist, Bliss Breathworker, and Energy Medicine Practitioner. 

I design and facilitate EC's CEU-eligible trainings, which are informed by the Healing the Erotic Self (HTES) curriculum. This curriculum integrates somatic psychotherapy, transpersonal approach, clinical sexology, integrative somatic sexology, neuroplasticity, the Polyvagal Theory, and decolonial pedagogies that inform a wholeness-based healing approach to burnout recovery and support, self-actualization, and embodied liberation through the lens of erotic intelligence and nervous system healing. EC's programs integrate neuroscience with decolonial trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming frameworks to build safer, more erotically empowered, somatically safer relationships, personally and professionally. EC's programs are perfect for educators, therapists, counselors, & coaches.
